“Valuing strong networks” will be the mindset of a female-focused real estate event taking place this week.

Ray White Queensland’s “Leading Ladies of Real Estate” event, to be held on Wednesday, 24 November, is one of three networking occasions to be held by the real estate giant simultaneously, with Sydney and Adelaide also hosting events of their own.

The evening is all set to feature a keynote speech from ex-athlete and media commentator Laura Geitz, as well as a panel of industry figureheads, including REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella, Ray White Newport’s Jess Culling, and Belle Property Hope Island’s Sally O’Neill.

Sponsored by Homely, the event is designed “to support agent development, inspire fellow professionals with shared insights and provide women with the opportunity to develop meaningful network connections”.

Ray White chief agency officer (QLD) Sally Patch has reflected that the profession is “now seeing some of Australian real estate’s greatest success stories come from women and so the industry culture should reflect that”.

She said: “It’s never been more important to ensure we’re supporting the development of professionals in our industry and providing valuable networking opportunities.”

Sonya Treloar, the sales director at Ray White Bridgeman Downs, has highlighted that women “bring a decidedly different perspective to real estate”.

“Irrespective of the shingle over our door, we have much knowledge and experiences that we can share whilst solving many of the common challenges. This opportunity, supported by Homely, is an initiative that will allow us all to share, improve and grow, which is something I am passionate about,” she offered.

Amanda Kramer, Homely’s head of marketing, said the business is a passionate supporter of the growth, development and retention of agents in the industry.

“The power of shared insights and mutual support amongst female professionals in the industry is critical to anyone looking to thrive and perform at their best,” she expressed.

“Homely is very proud to support Sally and the team at Ray White in this initiative and look forward to many more events with our like-minded partners.”
