Advancetown Tavern

402 Nerang Murwillumbah Rd, Advancetown, Nerang

This is the tavern you want to visit in summer! Offering a fenced swimming pool, the kids can play marco polo while you kick back with a coldie under the shaded beer garden. There’s a huge grassed area for kids to run around on and most Sundays (weather dependant) they set up the jumping castle. BYO inflatables and everyone is happy!

Bonus: Kids meals $6.50 with drink and ice-cream.

The Club, Parkwood Village

76-122 Napper Rd, Parkwood

The official club of the Gold Coast Titans, this sprawling venue offers more than just an easy meal. Start the day at the TopGolf Swing Suite, Golf or Mini Golf then head to The Backyard for a bite to eat. The Backyard offers alfresco dining where parents can watch the kids bounce on the jumping castle or play in the air-conditioned arcade. The Pavilions is also on offer for families, a cute indoor/outdoor dining area with a view of The Backyard.

• Kids meals $11.90 members, $12.90 visitors.
• Fridays $5 kids meal with main purchased after 5pm.

Southport Yacht Club

1 Macarthur Parade, Main Beach

Feel fancy without the price tag at the Southport Yacht Club, offering broadwater views, there’s nothing better than dreaming about life on a super yacht. Kids can enjoy running around in the shaded (fenced) playground while you sit back in enjoy a vino with a view.

• Kids meals $12 members, $14 visitors.

Tsipura Dr, Burleigh Heads

A southern favourite, the Burleigh Town Tavern offers a large covered outdoor area for families to enjoy their meals with a view of the huge playground. They also run monthly colouring competitions with great prizes to be won. Check out ‘Family Sundays’ complete with a complimentary jumping castle and face painting. There are also regular kids disco’s with dress-up themes and prizes. Let’s just say that the kids will be well occupied at Burleigh Town Tavern while you dine and socialise.

• Kids meals includes meal $6 each, add soft drink or juice $3, add a dessert dixie cup or frog in a pond $2.

Southport Sharks

Olsen Ave &, Musgrave Ave, Southport

First things first, Southport Sharks offers child minding for little ones aged between 3 – 12 years. There is a small fee to join the fun however the kids will be entertained for hours in one of the biggest indoor play areas on the Coast.

The Wobbygongs Kids Fun Zone features a rock-climbing wall, mini basketball court, two theatrettes which feature kids movies, home corner play and even PlayStations. Difficulty will be trying to get the kids to eat dinner and go home!

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: $4.50-6.50 per hour.

Kids meals $10.90 members or $12.90 non-members.

Wobbygongs Kid Fun Zone at The Sharks

43 Railway Street, Mudgeeraba

Recently renovated, The Wallaby Hotel is one of the oldest classic pubs on the Gold Coast and it still has that feel. Parents can sit on the open-air deck and watch the kids play in the huge (fenced) playground. Paying homage to the heritage of Mudgeeraba the playground features a train plus climbing area and slide. Kids and parents will be happy for hours.

• Kids meals $7 add soft drink and dixie cup $3.

Dublin Docks Tavern

Harbour Town Dr, Biggera Waters

Located adjacent to Harbour Town Outlet Shopping, Dublin Docks is a cosy little pub with canal views. Kick back on their outside deck or pull-up a booth in air-conditioned comfort as the kids enjoy the indoor playground complete with cubby house and slide.

Lonestar Tavern

Cnr Markeri St and Sunshine Blvd, Mermaid Waters

This long-time family favourite is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Parents will love the relaxed steakhouse restaurant and the kids will be thrilled to discover the indoor and outdoor playground. There are regular live gigs, sporting action on the big screens and even kids party packages. Happy days.

Coomera Lodge Hotel

160 Maudsland Road, Oxenford

Coomera Lodge Hotel offers river views for lunch or dinner from their outdoor beer garden, with plenty of grass for the kiddies to have a run around. There’s also an outdoor decking area with a view of the playground. Enjoy a little bit of country charm at this local favourite.

CSi Club Southport

154A Scarborough Street, Southport

Originally named the Southport Workers Community Club, the club has received a major renovation and families were not forgotten. The Kidz Zone includes a huge jungle gym, where the kids can climb and slide to their little heart’s content. Parents can enjoy indoor or outdoor dining while enjoying a meal and bevvy in the Laneway Restaurant. Good times.
